Cast off at the Beckum outdoor pool

When this year's outdoor pool season starts, children will find a new attraction at Beckum's outdoor pool.

The old play ship was getting on in years and has been replaced by a new one. The little sailors can set sail from 18 May at 9 am. The Beckum outdoor pool will then open its doors and the season can begin. Admission is free on the opening day.

The outdoor pool ticket offices in Beckum and also in Neubeckum are manned on Mondays from 13:00 to 17:30, Tuesdays to Fridays from 11:00 to 19:15, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 11:00 to 16:30. During the holidays, the ticket offices open at 09:00 on Tuesdays to Sundays. Weather-related adjustments are possible. The indoor pool closes on the evening of 16 May.

The Förderverein Beckumer Schwimmbäder e. V. and Sparkasse Münsterland-Ost have contributed to the cost of the new play ship. Mayor Michael Gerdhenrich, who is also the operations manager of the city's own energy supply and swimming pool company, thanked the sponsors for their commitment during the joint photo session at the new play equipment.
