Focus on city centre revitalisation

Representatives of local companies came together at Café Coffee Time to discuss the topic of "revitalising the city centre" - a crucial aspect for attracting and retaining skilled workers and employees.

Serena Große-Kreul from Stadtraum Konzept presented successful practical examples from other cities, including the concept of "transparent workshops". Although the participants did not currently see any opportunities to get involved in specific measures themselves, exciting ideas nevertheless emerged in the ensuing discussion. The city centre management will now follow up on these ideas and look for suitable implementation partners.

The head of city marketing, Pascal Rückert, also gave an insight into the current challenges of organising events. The focus was particularly on the increased security requirements, which have been intensified by the coronavirus pandemic and the attack on Magdeburg's Christmas market.

In addition to the technical discussions, there was also plenty of opportunity for personal dialogue over snacks and drinks - an important part of the after-work format.
